Profile
Prof. Mohammad Gameil M. Sayed got his Ph. D. from Cairo University according to a channel system program with Cologne University, Germany under the auspices of the German Academic Exchange Agency (DAAD). He works as a permanent professor of Paleontology at Cairo University. He worked for six years in the United Arab Emirates University from 1998-2004. At the moment he is working as a professor of Paleontology at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Research Interests
taxonomic studies on ancient and modern corals and the environmental facors affecting their distribution. Besides the interest in the taxonomy of other fossil groups of bivalves, gastropods, pelecypods, cephalopods, echinoids and foraminifers.
Scientific interests
Writing books in the arabic language, running field trips to collect fossil specimens that are used in teaching process as well as supplying the Geology Museum.
